To introduce this new space to explore and study Voltaire's work, we've chosen to feature a poem that Voltaire wrote in 1755 to celebrate his arrival in a new home, which he named 'Les Délices': the Épître de l'auteur en arrivant dans sa terre près du lac de Genève, en mars 1755. Although an online resource cannot boast the spectacular views and scenery of Voltaire's beautiful Swiss estate, we hope that our users will find this platform just as congenial as Voltaire found his new home in this poem.
